KARACHI : An airbus aircraft of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) collided with a cargo van at Jinnah Terminal in Karachi after landing on Saturday. The crash occurred shortly after the PIA airbus landed from Saudi Arabia. According to sources, the van collided with the aircraft due to over speeding. The doors and other parts of the plane were damaged in the collision and it was grounded for maintenance work.
On the other hand, a spokesman for PIA denied the grounding of the aircraft. He said the flight was sent to Mumbai after maintenance.
It is to be noted that two such incidents have already taken place at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad.
