PAF chief visits war veteran MM Alam



KARACHI  - Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force visited Air Commodore (r) MM Alam, the veteran of 1965 and 1971 wars at his residence. The Air Chief enquired about his health and well being. The war veteran who was earlier hospitalised has now shifted to his residence and is stable. The Air Chief remains in constant touch about the health of Air Commodore (r) MM Alam and pays regular visits to him whenever he goes to Karachi. Meanwhile, University of Karachi Controller Examinations Prof Dr Arshad Azmi on Friday announced the results of MA Economics private (Final) annual examination 2011.First position was secured by Hafiza Mariam d/o Muhammad Yousaf with 616 marks out of 1000 having roll number 71273. Syed Hasan Faraz Rizvi s/o Muhammad Saqlain, bearing roll number 70806, stood second with 605 marks while Sadaf Muhammad Yousaf d/o Muhammad Yousaf Suleman, bearing roll number 71762, scored third position with 602 marks. As many as 3,547 students registered for the examination out of which 3,331 appeared. Only five students were able to pass with first division. At least 471 candidates passed with second division while 23 with third. Results of 22 students were withheld due to either objection on registration or nonpayment of fine.
