KARACHI  - Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad has appointed Prof Dr Tariq Rafi as the first vice chancellor of Sindh Medical University Karachi.
Announcing the name of vice chancellor after the signing of Ordinance which upgraded Sindh Medical College to the level of a university at Bilawal House in presence of President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday, the Governor expressed hope that he will take the newly created university to the new heights of excellence.
Governor recalled that the Dow University of Medical Sciences had shown rapid progress after its upgradation and expanded manifolds.
