Resumption of Pak-India dialogue welcomed

MIRPUR (AJK) Senior Vice- President of Pakistan Peoples Party AJK and former Minister of the state Ch Muhammad Yasin welcomed the decision of Islamabad and India to resume the dialogues to resolve all the outstanding issues especially Kashmir. It is a major breakthrough on the part of both the countries which agreed to resume the dialogues that was haled in 2008 following the Mumbai incidents, Yasin said while talking to The Nation here today. He said that the decision to resuming bilateral talks during the meeting of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani with his Indian counterpart Dr Manmohen Singh on the sideline of the 16th Summit of SAARC, held at Thimpu. He stated that it reflected the deep-rooted sincere approach of the incumbent PPP-led coalition towards the resolution of all the issues with New Delhi through meaningful talks with India. Ch Yasin also welcomed the statement of Pakistans Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and added that after the settlement of Kashmir issue, everlasting stability, progress and peace would be set up in sub-continent.
