Writer, journalist, lawyer Siraj Memon passes away

KARACHI - The renowned writer, journalist and lawyer Sirajul Haq Memon passed away at a local hospital in the wee hours of Saturday.
He served as Editor of daily Hilal-e-Pakistan in Sindhi language when Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was Prime Minister of the country.  
Siraj Memon was uncle of Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. He was the brother of Sindhi Language Authority Chairman Fahmida Hussain and former PTV Producer Abdul Haq Azeem.
The funeral prayers of renowned writer, lawyer, author and editor daily Hilal-e-Pakistan Sirajul Haq Memon (Uncle of Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Enam Memon) will be observed on February 3 (today) after Namaz-e-Zohr at 1:15 pm at Sultan Masjid, Phase-V DHA Karachi.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has expressed his deep grief and sorrows on sad demise of renowned scholar, short story writer, intellectual, layer and former editor of daily Hilal-e-Pakistan Sirajul Haq Memon who expired last night in a local hospital.
Qaim called Sindh Information Minister Shajreel Memon and expressed sorrows with him on demise of his uncle. Acting Governor Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of renowned writer and novelist Sirajul Haq Memon.
Khuhro has paid tribute to Sirajul Haq Memon for his services in Sindhi literature and he said that his services for Sindhi literature will be long remembered. He also expressed his condolence with bereaved family.
Memon wrote books and short stories in the Sindhi language as he earned name in the Sindh literature.
