KARACHI - Former bureaucrats of Sindh, Qutab Memon and Abdul Hai Dhamra have announced joining the Muttahida Qaumi Movement here on Monday.Addressing a press conference at Khursheed Begum Secretariat, MQM leader and provincial minister, Abdul Rauf Siddiqui welcomed them on behalf of MQM chief Altaf Hussain. MQM leader Dr Sagheer Ahmed and others were also present on the occasion. Siddiqui said the people belonging from all communities and faiths were getting united on one platform which was a good sign for the whole country. He said the day was not far when a peaceful revolution of middle class would define the development path of the country. “The people are fed up with the dishonest and corrupt politicians therefore they are joining the MQM,” he added. Sagheer said it was a good sign that Qutab Memon and Abdul Hai Dhamra had decided to join MQM. Later, Qutab and Dhamra thanked the MQM leaders for welcoming them in the party. “MQM is the only political party which does not carry the label of feudalism and they are pleased to be a part of the MQM’s struggle,” they added.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
