KARACHI - The Pakistan Sunni Tehreek on Thursday demanded the government to arrest killers of its activists, underlining the need for an indiscriminate operation against those involved in killing innocent people in the city.
PST leader Shakeel Qadri told a news conference that his organisation was mulling to close down its activities in the metropolis or take security measures on its own, if the government did not arrest “killers of our workers”.
He said that PST chief Sarwat Ejaz Qadri had summoned an important meeting of party office-bearers in this respect.
The PST leader announced a countrywide demonstration on May 5 against the government’s failure to stem the menace of targeted killings, terrorism and extremism in the country.
