‘Fatima Bhutto, Zulfiqar Junior true heirs of PPP’

KARACHI - Pakistan People’s Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) chairperson Ghinwa Bhutto said Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had given 20 percent share from the NFC Award to federation in 1970s and had vowed to reduce it further but previous regime increased it to 40 percent which was a bid to encourage federal bureaucracy.
Ghinwa expressed these views while addressing at the 34th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on Thursday. She said that provincial independence would be real only if the provinces were given full share from their financial resources. She said the political parties with the slogans of tsunami and revolutions were empty claims and real democracy can flourish when the power was given to people. Ghinwa further stated that she had quitted the Lebanon’s citizenship about 16 years ago when took the charge of the party affairs and masses should reject those who ruled for last five years by getting the votes in name of Bhuttos.
Zulfikar Junior and Fatima Bhutto are the true heirs of the PPP, she added.
