KARACHI - Armed men Monday allegedly robbed the KESC Complaint Centre situated at situated at Shah Faisal Colony number 3, within the jurisdiction of Shah Faisal Colony Police Station. Reports reaching here said some two dozen men at the office were held hostage by the culprits. Later the 'robbers' managed to flee from the scene before the arrival of police. An FIR was registered however, no arrest was made till filing of this report. DSP Raza Hussain Shah when contacted informed that some eight to ten men allegedly entered into the complain centre and took away the electricity wires from the office. Meanwhile, the residents of Manzoor Colony, Mehmoodabad Monday protested over the prolonged load shedding of the electricity in their localities. They chanted slogans against the management of the KESC and blocked the Lyari Expressway. They also pelted stones on passing by vehicles and burnt tyres on the roads. They also blocked the Sharah-e-Faisal and Baloch Colony Road during the protest. The protestors said they were continuously facing the electricity suspension. Police arrived the scene and open the roads for the flow of traffic.
