Karachi violence claims 8 more lives

At least eight persons were killed and several others injured in separate incidents of violence in different localities of Karachi on Friday. Rangers arrested alleged target killer and recovered arms from his possession.
According to details, three people were shot dead and two injured in Docks Machar Colony. Police said that the firing was carried out by the accomplices of proclaimed offender Fareed alias Tinda.
Police said unidentified criminals kidnapped and brutally killed eight-year-old Faisal in Shah Faisal Colony of the city. The killers threw his body away in garbage after burning it near Colony Gate. Faisal was kidnapped five days ago.
In Saddam Chowk area, some unidentified persons opened fire and shot dead a man named Sohail alias Bengali.
One man identified as Aalam was shot dead in North Nazimabad. His body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
In Landhi, some unidentified miscreants shot dead an activist of a political party identified as Farooq.
One man whose identification has not been confirmed was killed by unknown armed men in Garden Shoe Market of Karachi.
Meanwhile, firing continued in different areas of Karachi during which seven persons were reported injured. The injured were rushed to different hospitals.
Rangers on secret information conducted raid and arrested an alleged target killer and recovered weapons in a huge quantity from Baldia Town of the city. The detainee identified as Kamal was involved in several incidents of targeted killings. He belongs to a religious party and was shifted to an unknown location for more investigation.
On the other hand at least three people were killed while more than a dozen others injured in separate road accidents in different areas of the city on Friday.
According to details, a reckless driven over speeding truck crushed two motorcyclists at FTC Bridge killing both on the spot and fled the scene.
The deceased were residents of Bengali Para of Korangi and one of them was identified as Salman.
A 22-year-old young man was killed in a road mishap at Jehangir Road. His body was sent to civil hospital for postmortem.
