KARACHI  - Interior Minister Rehman Malik met with Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan at the Governor House here on Friday. According to a Governor House statement, they discussed the prevailing law and order in the province, especially in Karachi. They exchanged views on a coordinated strategy for bringing improvement in the situation. It was agreed at the meeting that action would continue against the criminals without any discrimination and that the police would be provided the latest weapons for enhancing their capacity. The intelligence network would be activated further for the arrest of the terrorists and anti-state elements. The security at the entry points would be tightened to prevent the entry of terrorists and criminals. It was resolved at the meeting that across the board action would be initiated against the criminals irrespective of their affiliations. It was pointed out that the criminals were out to mar the peace and harm the people and their machinations would be frustrated. The terrorist elements would not be tolerated at any cost, it was further stated.
