KARACHI: Provincial Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that during last week 339 cases of dengue virus diagnosed patients were reported, out of which 330 patients belonged to Karachi and one patient died due to severe condition.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday he said that two patients were from Umerkot, four were from Mirpurkhas and one each from Sukkur, Larkana and Ghotki. So far 2,017 cases of dengue virus have been reported and awareness campaign against dengue virus is going on and will be completed by end of October.
Dahar has also directed administration of all government and private hospitals to report the cases of dengue virus diagnosed patients to Dr. Masood Solangi Program Manager Dengue Prevention and Control program in order to maintain the record and to combat against the disease.
