KARACHI  - Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has imposed ban on recruitment process in the government department of the provincial government, warning the officers to stay away from recruiting any person on their own.
He issued such instructions in the wake of recruitments’ reports made by the officers of the departments during the period of interim government.
The CM spokesman said that chief executive of the province had imposed ban on recruitment in the government departments, while report of the recruitment during the interim government had also been summoned by him.
Sources said that other reason of imposing ban was to stop the newly-inducted minister in the Sindh cabinet from recruiting the people as ministers.
Meanwhile, Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah on Thursday presided over a high-level meeting and discussed coming provincial budget and development outlay of Annual Development Programme 2013-14.
Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Finance Syed Murad Ali Shah, Shakeeb Qureshi, Additional Chief Secretary (Planning and Development) Arif Ahmed Khan, Secretary Finance Suhail Ahmed Rajput, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Naveed Kamran Baloch and other high officials were present in the meeting.
Finance Advisor Murad Ali Shah apprised the CM about the coming budget of 2013-14 and related details compiled by the department.
The Additional Chief Secretary (P&D) and Secretary Finance also briefed Qaim through various charts and graphs regarding the development projects and other related matters of the budget and ADP 2013-14.
Sources said that the provincial government had decided in principle to earmark more funds to complete the ongoing uplift schemes, while major allocation would be reserved for the law and order portfolio following the health and education sectors. 
On the other side, Sindh Rangers Director General Major General Rizwan Akhtar called on Qaim here at the CM House and discussed the law and situation in the province especially in Karachi.
Qaim said that peace was the first and foremost priority of the government and all possible steps must be taken in this regard.
Moreover, Ambassador of Republic of Korea Chong Joo Choi called on the chief minister here at the CM House and congratulated him on taking charge as the Sindh chief minister for the third time.
Qaim said the ambassador should take efforts to motivate the Korean investors to invest in Sindh because there was a great space in the province to invest in Agro-based industry, Thar Coal, dairy and other fields. The CM assured of all possible cooperation and help to the Korean investors.
