Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani on Tuesday chaired a meeting here to review security arrangements, especially in Sindh, on the Election Day.
According to Media Reports, Gen. Kayani ordered to fully implement security plan while he also said that helicopters will also be ready in case of any untoward incident.
Following the meeting, Director General ISPR Maj. General Asif Salim Bajwa said that around 124,000 security personnel will be posted in Sindh for maintaining law and order on the Election Day.
He said that 10,000 Army personnel will be posted in Karachi for election security duties while around 39,000 personnel of Rangers and police will also on duty.
The high-level meeting was held at Corps Headquarter, Karachi which was attended by Lietenant Gen. Aijaz Choudhary, Corps Commander Karachi, Director General Rangers and Chief Secretary Sindh.
