KARACHI - The Master Plan of Karachi is a constitutional document, hence all the land in Karachi must be allotted under this document and avoiding Master Plan would only increase the problems faced by Karachi and they will never be solved. This was said by Nazim Karachi, Syed Mustafa Kamal during informal talks with the journalists at his office, said a statement issued here on Sunday. He further said that the Master Plan was not just a document but it is a law and the society could only make better with the implementation of certain rules and regulations. Nazim Karachi said that we have fulfilled our responsibility of preparing Master Plan for the city and we have make it approve and notified within a very short time but we do not have police force to implement it. It is now the duty of all stakeholders in Karachi to plan and execute their works under this master plan including constructions and allotment of all kids of land within their jurisdiction, he said. Kamal said that each and every thing has been clearly explained in the master plan therefore the utility services should be laid according to this document otherwise it would be hard to supply basic utilities to citizens. He also warned that the city government will not provide basic facilities to those residential and commercial areas which did not adhered to the building rules specified in the master plan.
