Hashim new commissioner

 KARACHI - The Sindh government has appointed Hashim Raza Zaidi as new commissioner of Karachi, replacing Roshan Ali Shaikh. Following the adaptation of the new local government law, the PPP govt has posted Hashim Raza Zaidi as new commissioner of Karachi. The posting of new commissioner has been made on the recommendations of the MQM, a main ally of the ruling PPP, sources said. Earlier, Zaidi was serving as the chief of the Sindh Disaster Management Authority.He also worked as provincial secretary of the Health Department. Roshan Ali Shah, the relieving commissioner of Karachi, was close to the ruling PPP, however, the posting of new commissioner was a follow-up of fresh assurances given by the PPP leadership to meet all demands of the MQM by appointing the officers in Karachi and Hyderabad on its choice.
