Public problems being addressed

KARACHI - Sindh Irrigation and Power Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has said that it is gratifying to note that peoples problems are being redressed to a large extent through Public Complaint Cell established in Chief Minister House here. He said on Tuesday that removing unemployment, illiteracy, and providing relief to people are the main ingredients of PPP policy and said that all efforts are towards that end to fulfil the commitment that we have made with people. The Minister further stated that present government has provided thousands of jobs to qualified youth of the province and have taken appropriate steps to raise the literacy rate and now with the establishment of Chief Minister Complaint Cell people are getting their grievances and complaints resolved though a telephone call. This facility is being provided to people to mitigate their sufferings at their doorsteps. The people, he added, should take the best benefit of cell facility. On this occasion the Minister received complaints from Khairpur, Moro, Sanghar, Dadu, Badin, Karachi regarding traffic congestion, shortage of water non-availability of sugar, non provision of salary to internees of BBYDP in Services and Works Department, extensive load shedding and against City government with regard to dilapidated condition of Britto Road in Jamsheed Town, Karachi and streets around Aga Khan Jamat Khana Garden East. The Minister on this occasion issued directives on the spot for the redressal of the grievances of the people at the earliest.
