ANP against Army deployment in City

KARACHI - It is essential that all the political parties should sit together and decide about the presence of the army in the City to control the law and order situation, said Central Information Secretary Awami National Party, Zahid Khan. Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club with the president ANP Sindh Shahi Syed on Saturday, he said that the democratic government was established in the country and in the presence of a civil government, army cannot come into the City without the permission of the government. If any party thinks that there is a need of the army to tackle the law and order situation in the city than all the parties should come forward and decide together about it, he added. Khan said that miscreants whether wearing a turban, pant coat or having a beard were not Taliban but were just terrorists. Shahi Syed said that the City had been made a heap of illegal arms and weapons. The persons from whom the weapons are recovered must be arrested and strict punishment should be awarded to them, he added. He said that the country was passing through a critical phase and the situation was worsening day-by-day including target killings, blasts and criminal activities. In the current violent scenario, reinstatement of law and order is important so that the people get relief and everyone must struggle together to eradicate terrorism from the country.
