The employees of Habib Bank Limited who were forcefully sacked from their jobs, are planning to challenge the privatization of the bank in the Supreme Court. According to sources, the evidences of corruption against the administration of the Habib Bank would be presented by sacked employees in the Supreme Court. The employees of the bank have already challenge their forcefully sacking in the courts, sources told. Nearly 70 cases were under trial in different courts of the country against the administration of Habib Bank, filed by the sacked employees and no record was found regarding the filing of cases by employees of any bank in such a large number. According to sources, most of cases are related to sacking of employees while cases of revenge with employees is also pending in different courts. The cases filed by employees are under trial in Labour Court, High Court, Supreme Court and Service Tribunal. According to sources, the cases filed by employees reflect the poor policies of the bank and anti-labour policies, which have created mistrust among customers about the bank.
