KARACHI - Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, on Thursday, said the misunderstandings between the ruling PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional have been removed and the parties’ alliance would continue in the future.Interacting with the media at Kingri House after a meeting with PML-F chief Pir Sahib Pagara, the chief minister said that Sindh Minister for Information Shazia Marri had already apologised for her statement (against Pagara). Qaim, who is also the PPP Sindh chief, claimed that certain elements wanted to drive a wedge between the ruling party and its allies. Responding to a question about the operation in Lyari, the chief minister said it was not an operation but targeted action(s) which, according to him, would continue to maintain peace in the city. About the SNF’s merger with the PML-N, he said it would not harm the PPP.Speaking to the media, PML-F chief Pir Pagara said, “We have accepted their apology.” He paid his thanks to Qaim for his visit to the Kingri House, and affirmed that the alliance between the parties would continue. He also said that his party fully supported Prime Minister Gilani. Pagara also promised support to the PPP for the Sanghar by-poll.
