KARACHI - The Jamaat-e-Islami has demanded the Sindh government to provide relief goods as well as financial assistance to the rain affectees.
A high-powered delegation of the JI called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the CM House here on the second day of Eidul Fitr.
The delegation demanded the CM to conduct survey of the rain-hit areas including Saadi Town, Amroha Society, Sunley Cottages, Prem Villas and Bhittaiabad and to provide financial assistance to the affected families.
JI leader Asadullah Bhutto, Muhammad Hussain Mehanti, Barjees Ahmed, M Laeeq Khan, Younas Barai and Hameedullah Khan Advocate were among the delegates who asked the government to remove ban on pillion riding, as the crime ratio is going up with every passing day despite the ban.
On the occasion, Qaim assured the JI delegates to review over their demands and also take effective steps, providing financial assistance to the rain-affected people.
