Karachi incident: Rangers men to be tried in ATC

The case against six Rangers men involved in killing unarmed youth has been filed in Anti-Terrorism Court and the six paramilitary troops will now be presented in the ATC on Monday, report said. On the directives of the apex court, an investigation team headed by DIG Sultan Khawaja began its work on Saturday to complete the probe within seven days and submit a charge-sheet in court. Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) have been included in the case against Rangers personnel involved in extrajudicial killing of a young man in Karachi on the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The police also have custody of the G-3 rifle with which Sarfaraz Shah was shot and the Rangers mobile carrying the six Rangers personnel at the time of the killing.
