PML-F elects Sindh chief

KARACHI - Resuming its political activities, the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional Sindh Council on Sunday unanimously elected MNA Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashdi and Imtiaz Sheikh as party’s president and general secretary, respectively.
The meeting, held at the residence of Aishwar Lal, the chief organiser of the PML-F Sindh minority wing, was the first after the demise of Pir Pagara, who was paid glowing tribute for his services to the nation.
The meeting passed eight resolutions against the price-hike, unemployment, shortage of gas, water and power. It was attended by PML-F Central Chief Organiser Kashif Nizamani, Syed Muzafar Hussain Shah, Aishwar Lal, Akber Rashdi, Jam Madad Ali, Dr Rafiq Bhahban, Gulzar Feroz, Federal Minister Khuda Bukhsh Rajir, Dr Khair Muhammad Narijo, Zubai Memon, Jam Mashoq Ali Khan, Jam Zulfiqar Ali Khan, Mir Asghar Pinhor and others.
Meanwhile, the newly-elected president, Pir Sadruddin Rashdi, while talking to the media, said the PML-F would show its strength by votes instead of organising processions. He said the party was forging a political alliance for the next general elections but did not disclose its name.
Imtiaz Shiekh said that “we have raised all issues related to Sindh”.
