KARACHI (PPI) - Dengue fever has been confirmed in three more patients in different hospitals of the city while sixteen new dengue suspects having high fever hospitalized on Thursday. According to the focal person of Dengue Vigilant Cell, Dr. Shakeel Malik, the dengue virus has been confirmed in three more patients while 16 new patients with dengue symptoms were brought to the different hospitals of the city during the last 24 hours. Dr. Shakeel said that twelve patients were sent to their homes as they recovered from the fever while 53 patients having high fever were still hospitalized at different hospitals. He said that dengue fever has been confirmed in 160 patients and 546 dengue suspects have been brought to the different hospitals while five died due to the fever during the current year.
