Train service for flood affectees started from Kotri, Jacobabad: CM Sindh

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that train-service has been started from the flood-affected areas of the province to transport the affectees to safe places. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he said that the provincial government has been committed to steer the masses stuck in flood-hit areas to safe places. The floodwater swept has been moving towards Kotri and Jacobabad; therefore the provincial government has decided to vacate these areas and to transport the flood affectees from these areas, provincial government has initiated train-service, CM said. He also stated that Rescue teams of Pak-Force were carrying relief operation in all the flood-hit areas of the province adding that Provincial Disastrous Management Authority (PDMA) were also assisting the flood-victims with best available relief efforts. Chief minister Sindh said that thousands flood affectees have arrived in relief camps of government of Sindh and provision of meals for the massive affectees have become a challenge for the provincial government. He also warned that high level flood water is moving towards the cities of Kotri and Jacobabad, therefore red alert warnings have been issued for these areas. Crops standing at thousands acres Kilometer areas have been devastated in the province and the loss of cattle have also caused severe crisis in the province, CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah said.
