KARACHI - Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) chief Pir Syed Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi on Sunday said that any attempt to send back paramilitary force from Sindh province can trigger bloodshed in the province while the people threatening Pakistan armed forces should avoid confrontation as the nation is eyeing towards the Pakistan Army as their last hope.
PML-F chief expressed these views while talking to the media at an Iftar Party at Kingri House. Various political parties’ leaders including JI Liaqat Baloch, Hafiz Mohmmad Naeem, Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durani, Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, former MNA Nabeel Gabol, PML-N Ismail Raho, Humayio Mohammad Khan, JUI Moulana Rashid Mehmood Somroo, Qari Usman, MQM Dr Farooq Sattar, Syed Sardar Ahmed, PTI Khurran Sher Zaman, Faisal Wadva, PML-Q Haleem Adil Shiek, ANP Senator Shahi Syed, QAT Ayaz Lateef Palejo, PML-N Mumtaz Ali Bhutto and others.
Speaking on the occasion, PML-F chief said that Rangers role for restoration of peace in Karachi is not a hidden story, while there is no difference between paramilitary force Rangers and Pakistan army, both are the same. He said that the people who were crying over Rangers action earlier demanded deployment of army in city. He said Rangers action has restored confidence of citizens as visible decrease in incident of extortion, target killing, kidnapping for ransom and other crimes has been witnessed. He said that after performing against criminals and terrorists, Pakistan army has turned its direction to corruption. “I think crime and corruption is quite similar”, said PML-F chief.
Stressing upon elimination of crime and corruption, he further said that elimination of both would increase more confidence in public and they would be able to resist terrorism. PML-Chief said that the Pakistan Army is symbol of federation while Rangers is required in Sindh for everlasting peace in province. PML-F supports the presence of paramilitary rangers inside and outside the assemblies.
To a question about the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, He said that bad time usually comes in life of executives but it is unfortunate that people for long were giving impression that the PM is only administrator of Punjab province.
To another query about the former President Asif Ali Zardari, he said that some of the leaders were threatening Pakistan army and it seems that they want to use politicised police to accomplish their desires. He also criticised PPP led Provincial government by saying that no such thing like governance existed in the province. Talking about Muslim Leagues union, PML-F chief said that effort are underway and contacts were being made with various leaders of the Muslim Leagues while the union of the Muslims League is required for prosperity as it the political party that established the country.
