The involved accused must be brought to the justice whether they belong to any influential institutions, urged the lawyers representatives, while addressing the general body meeting held here at Shuhda-i-Punjab Hall by Karachi Bar Association (KBA). Vice Chairman of Sindh Bar Council (SBA) Mehmood-ul-Hassan said that the people of Balochistan had been victimised, while President Asif Zardari has apologised such injustice in the province. He had promised to solve the problems of the wretched of the earth in the province yet there is no improvement in this regard. He added that the recent incident of killings of Baloch leaders have proved the ongoing critical conditions in the province. He maintained that the establishment was still not ready to change its mindset to provide autonomy to the poor and deprived Baloch people. Earlier, President of Karachi Bar Association (KBA) Mohammad Ali Abbasi alleged that some institutions had remained busy to sabotage the situation in the country particularly in Swat and tribal areas for not maintaining the writ of the government. He disclosed that some negative and destructive elements had been exploiting and igniting extremism resulted in insurgency and turbulence. He added that the institution had been addicted to unnecessary interference in the provincial matters. It seems that those are not under the control of the democratic government. The assassination of great leader Benazir Bhutto is also due to insurgencies as well as terrorism that have become hallmark of the day, he added. On the occasion, Secretary of KBA Naeem Qureshi, Samad Baloch, Chaudhry Abdul Sattar, Younus Shad, Adil Khanzai and other representatives of KBA as well as Peoples Lawyers Forum, Baloch Lawyers Forum and others also spoke the general body. They demanded that the culprits involved in the killing of the three Baloch leaders must be arrested and in this regard, an inquiry committee should also be formed to probe the matter. They praised Balochistan High Court (BHC) to take sou-moto action over the killing of the Baloch leaders and hoped that it would bring positive result. Earlier, a complete boycott of the court proceedings was observed in all the five district courts including Malir District Court on the call of Ali Ahmed Kurd, President of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA). The lawyers did not appear before the courts regarding their cases, while most of the judges were present in their chambers to conduct the hearing of the cases. The lawyers also offered Ghaibana Nimaz-e-Janaza of the slain leaders in front of KBA office in which a large number of lawyers, civil society, and representatives belonging to different walks of life participated.
