Panama Leaks: No agreement or concession to Nawaz Sharif; PPP to go with opposition on the issue: Bilawal

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asked the PML-N government to stop wrangling on the issue of Panama leaks and accept the proposed ToRs by the Opposition without delay to escape itself from worst aftershocks developing due to its attitude.

“There is no middle way and Prime Minister and his family should undergo a transparent, acceptable and independent accountability to settle and sort out the issue of corruption in the country once for all,” he stated while talking to PPP leaders including Central Information Secretary Qamar Zaman Kaira, former Federal Minister Nazar Mohammad Gondal and former MNA Chaudhry Manzoor at Bilawal House on Tuesday.

He said there would be no agreement or concession to Nawaz Sharif and the PPP would go with the opposition and it would be in the forefront.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his government and his party were making great mistake by trying to avert a situation, which is impossible as entire nation and the opposition were united for initiating an accountability starting from top to bottom. “There is no escape route from Panama Leaks as it has rolled several heads across the world for the intensity scandals, which has shaken the entire world,” he added.

PPP Chairman warned the PML-N government that it will be axing its own foot by remaining adamant over the ToRs and tacitly compelling the opposition parties to boycott the Parliamentary Committee formed in this regard.

He made it clear that PPP won’t budge from its principled stand on Panama Leaks investigations and take along all the Opposition parties for reaching the logical end.
