KARACHI - Gunmen shot dead an Assistant Sub-Inspector here in the remits of Korangi police station. Police said that ASI Shezad Akhter deployed at Korangi sector R, Chowki was on his way to home when gunmen targeted him in Korangi C, area. Deceased was riding on a motorbike when assailants ridding on motorbike shot him multiple times and managed to flee. Rescuers rushed on the spot and shifted the cop to Jinnah postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) where doctors pronounced his death.

 The body of deceased cop handed over to the family while police investigators trying to ascertain the motive behind the murder. End
