‘PPP tries to face off province’s problems’

Sindh festival

KARACHI - Criticising the Sindh Festival, Jamiat Ulema Pakistan Sindh Secretary General Dr Khalid Soomro has said the PPP’s provincial government are busy organising the dance shows in the name of culture rather addressing the public issues.
Karachi is being governed by the terrorists while the people of interior Sindh were left on the mercy of the robbers.
He was talking to the JUP Sindh chapter leaders at Karachi airport on his arrival from South Africa‘s visit.
He said the authorities were giving briefing over the arrest of thousands of criminals and terrorists during the raids but they had failed to pull out the masses from fear as no decline in the incidents of terrorism, kidnapping and extortion were witnessed yet.
JUP leader further said government had failed to recover the JUP leaders Maulana Bakht Ullah and Sahibzada Hafiz Mehmood. The party has given an open message to the government by staging sit-in and blocking the Shikarpur bypass that the JUP would not tolerate silence of the provincial government.
The security agencies are worried about their own security, he added. The fear factor had increased mental sickness among the citizens and government instead of resolving the masses’ issues were organising dance shows in the name of Sindhi culture. He demanded the government to take the situation seriously and take effective measure to bring relief to the masses despite running the PPP’s advertising campaign.
