Man charged with throwing acid on aunt

KARACHI - An accused namely Kamran has been booked in a case for throwing acid on his aunt Nasreen Bibi over a family dispute in Punjab Colony here on Sunday.
Nasreen received burn injuries on her face and hands. She was shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment. Doctors said the victim sustained mino0r burn injuries on her right hand and some parts of abdomen.
Police said that accused Kamran aka Kami is a cable operator who threw acid on her aunty over some domestic issue. The accused, however managed to flee from the scene. A case has been registered on behalf of the victim’s husband namely Abdul Rasheed while further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, three people were killed in separate acts of violence in various parts of the metropolis. Two men were shot dead and another was wounded within the limits of Pirabad Police Station. Four armed men riding on two motorcycles tried to stop the truck in Sector 5-E, Orangi Town for a robbing but the driver did not stop truck.
However, the culprits chased the truck and opened indiscriminate firing, injuring Sanaullah, Kalam Shah and Saleem. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where two of them succumbed to injuries.
In another incident, a man was killed and two others were wounded in a firing incident at Shafiq Colony within the remits of Gabol Town Police Station. Police said that on some petty issue victims start indiscriminate firing on each other. Resultantly, three victims namely Nooruddin, Mohammad Jan and Noor Jilani sustained bullet injuries. They were hurried to a nearby hospital, where Nooruddin succumbed to injuries. The motive behind the incident was personal dispute while further investigation was underway.
