Abdullah custody case: Court allows Ch Iqbal to meet son

KARACHI:  A family court allowed Ch Iqbal to meet his son first time after the murder of boy’s mother Haleema on Wednesday.

Ch Iqbal presented the ‘nikahnama’ and marriage certificate of Haleema. According to the ‘nikahnama’ and marriage certificate, Ch Iqbal was married to Haleema in 2007 and Abdullah born to them in 2014. At the time of marriage, Ch Iqbal was 50, while Haleem was 18 years old. Both have been shown unmarried in the nikkahnama.

Counsel for Faisal Edhi stated that Abdullah’s father had not met him for several years, while Abdullah is the lone eyewitness of his mother and he could face a threat to his life.

Meanwhile, the court has demanded details from the NADRA about the ‘nikkahnama’ and marriage certificate till July 14.
