Rangers clash with Lyari gang; 3 killed

KARACHI - Three key gang members have been killed in a clash among Sindh Rangers and Lyari Gang war on Saturday morning.
According to reports, the clash took place at Lyari express line when the criminal fired at rangers. In retaliatory fire, three members of the Lyari gang war were killed. The dead members have been identified as Azhar urf Bhudda, Waseem and Hasam  Ranger spokesperson said the criminals associated with BabaLadla group were on wanted list of police in extortion, ransom for kidnapping and murder.
Meanwhile, at least five suspected criminals were killed in separate operations by police and Rangers in different parts of Karachi. According anti-car lifting police cell, on a tip-off, the police carried out an operation near Toor Bangash Chowki in Orangi Town.  Two wanted criminals, Moin Aga Khani and Pathan, were killed during exchange of gunfire while another suspect, Imtiaz Tanoli alias Mama managed to escape said.
Meanwhile, Rangers personnel carried out a separate raid in Lyari’s Rexer Lane after receiving information of the presence of wanted criminals in the area. According to a Rangers spokesman, three wanted criminals were killed in retaliatory fire after the suspects opened fire on the forces in an attempt to escape.
The three criminals, identified as M Hassam, Azhar alias Buddha, and Waseem Ahmad, were said to be linked to Lyari’s Baba Ladla gang and were involved in 23 different cases of murder, extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
They were running their network for over four years, said the Rangers spokesman. A Rangers man was also injured in the exchange of gunshots.
In a third operation, Rangers forces rounded up 17 suspects as they carried out a search operation in residential apartments located Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 18.
