KARACHI: A policeman was shot dead by armed men in North Nazimabad area  here today

According to details, armed motorcyclists gunned down a police official identified as Munawwar in North Nazimabad area. Munawwar was going to his duty on motorcycle from Kausar Niazi Colony to New Karachi when the unindentified men targeted him near his house.

The Sindh IG has ordered to arrest of accused. According to SSP central, the incident was of targeted killing. Shells of 9mm pistol were found from the scene.

The dead body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The police and Rangers officials reached the scene and started investigation.

The policeman was father of one and had been performing his duties for 12 years.
