PPP urges Nawaz to avoid ant-Zardari statements

KARACHI - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Karachi division on Monday extended their full confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari. This resolution came during the meeting chaired by PPP Sindh General Secretary Taj Haider. PPP Karachi Division President Najmi Alam, Mirza Maqbool Ahmed, Sohail Abidi, districts officer bearers of PPP Karachi division and office bearers of PPPs Cultural Wing, Women Wing, PSF, Peoples Youth and PPP Lawyers Wing also attended the meeting. They adopted a resolution, which strongly criticised the PML-N activists, who torched the flags of PPP during a protest demonstration in Lahore. The meeting further denounced the remarks given by the PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif against the PPP Co-Chairman President Asif Ali Zardari and asked him to avoid such kind of non-parliamentary language against President of Pakistan. Addressing the meeting at Sindh Peoples Secretariat, PPP Sindh General Secretary Taj Haider has said that Country was facing the dangerous situation and that this was the need of hour to defeat the terrorism and extremism from the country to not create the hurdles for the Government. He said that people knew the 'real faces of these elements, which were hatching the conspiracy of hiding the real issues through creating non-issues. He alleged that these forces wanted to create anarchy in the country for their vested interests. However, the meeting finalised the arrangements of PPPs Istehkam-e-Jamhoriat rally to be held on February 17th (tomorrow) from Peoples Secretariat to Karachi Press club.
