Four persons including two policemen and a woman were killed and several others injured in separate incidents of violence here on Thursday.
According to reports, unknown gunmen sprayed bullets at police mobile of Taimuriya police station at Shafique Morr area of New Karachi while it was on routine patrolling.
As a result of firing head constable Javed and constable Asif died on the spot while another cop Saleem and a passersby sustained wounds and was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
In another incident, a man was killed in firing by unidentified miscreants at Sharah-e-Faisal near Karsaz area. Identity of the deceased was not ascertained.
Police recovered a tortured dead body of a woman from Rashidabad area of Baldia Town.
Firing incidents continued across the city during which more than 15 persons were reportedly injured.
Meanwhile, the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) personnel continued targeted operation and crackdowns in different parts of the metropolis during which more than 20 accused were nabbed along with arms and drugs.
