KARACHI - MQM Chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday strongly condemned the three simultaneous attacks in Lahore and at a police station in Kohat and expressed his deep sorrow over the death of several police officials. In his statement issued, Altaf Hussain said that after a suicide attack at a police station in Kohat, the terrorists attacked FIA Headquarters, Manawa Police Training Centre and Bediyan Elite Force Training Centre in Lahore, killing several police officials along with innocent civilians. He said that after an attacked on the GHQ a few days ago and three simultaneous attacks in Lahore, a suicide strike in Kohat and an attack in Peshawar bore the testimony that Taliban was hell bent on open war against Pakistan. He said that these terrorists are not only the enemies of the country, but also of humanity. Terrorists, killing innocent people do not deserve respect or mercy and anyone supporting this band of criminals are their companions, he ruled, adding that even today some political parties are condoning these terrorists by claiming that there is no open war against the country. I want to ask these people whether or not GHQ is the office of Pakistani government? he questioned. Adding that the FIA Headquarters, Manawa Police Training Centre, Bediyan Elite Force Training Centre and the police station in Kohat are not government offices? He asked the media to boycott those elements supporting Taliban, saying that these attacks are a threat to the countrys security and safety and by performing these cowardly acts they are hatching conspiracy against the very existence of Pakistan. He also appealed to the public to extend their cooperation to the army and the government officials in their fight against the Taliban terrorists. Altaf requested President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Federal Minister Rehman Malik to take stern action against these terrorists. He sent his condolences to the relatives of the deceased and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
