‘SSUET enters a new era’

KARACHI - The new academic year at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology started with an impressive Orientation Session held at the Karachi Expo Centre on Thursday. The students admitted to different disciplines of engineering for the Batch 2014 were provided the vision and academic guidance at the Orientation Ceremony prior to start of regular classes.
Addressing the ceremony, Engr. Muhammad Adil Usman, Chancellor Sir Syed University, told the new students that the education is the most powerful factor which may change the world. People without education will not be able to improve their economic situation in the present highly technological, globalized economy.
A high quality engineer or technician can obviously be created only through high quality engineering and vocational teaching and training.
He pointed out that many students don’t progress successfully into secure employment or higher level education, because they fail to acquire skills that will enable them to progress.  He said success comes to those who truly distinguish themselves through preparation and make the very best use of any opportunity and advantage that they have.
He advised students to be open to new ideas, experiences, and directions. And stay focused on their studies.
