KDA workers protest

KARACHI - The employees of Karachi Development Authority (KDA) on Tuesday come out in protest, warning the authorities that if the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation did not release their medical bills within 48 hours, they would stop working.
They were protesting at the Civic Centre against the financial dept against not paying their medical bills from long time.
KDA labor union General Secretary Muahmmad Ashfaq Chishti while taking to “The Nation” said that the medical bills of 6,708 KDA employees had been stopped for negligence of the KMC finance department from last eight months
He also informed that they will file petition in the apex court if management continued to this discriminative attitude to laborers.
Chisti alleged that a discriminative attitude was being adopted towards KDA workers under a conspiracy.
During the protest, they appealed to the Governor Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh and Local Body Minister Agha Siraj Durrani to immediately take notice of the matter.
