KARACHI - An officer of the City traffic police died while his cousin sustained injuries on Wednesday when a speeding oil tanker hit their motorcycle. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Abdul Hakeem, 50, posted at the Sindh Chief Minister's House, was on his way to office on a motorcycle along with his cousin Ismail. When they reached Baldia Town No 2 within the jurisdiction of Maripur Police Station, a speeding tanker hit their two-wheeler. As a result, Hakeem died on the spot while his cousin sustained serious injuries. Deceased was the resident of Mawach Goth and father of two children. He had joined the police department in 1981. Police have arrested driver Ashraf of the tanker and registered the case.
