KARACHI - Unidentified miscreants on Friday noon opened fire at Pakistan People's Party office in Mawach Goth and tried to set it ablaze.
They also vandalised the party's office. They opened fire at the PPP office, causing panic in the area. Heavy contingent of police was called to the site after the firing incident. According to initial reports, no loss of life was reported from the site.
It may be noted that here that the PPP is staging a rally in Karachi on October 18 (today) and the party claims the public meeting would be historic in country's history.
Stringent security measures have been put in place at Bagh-e-Jinnah, the raully's venue. Jammers would also be installed, thus suspending mobile phone service tomorrow to prevent any untoward incident.
