KARACHI - In its drive to curb smuggling of illegal items especially the Iranian high speed diesel, the Model Customs Collectorate, Hyderabad, seized two oil tankers carrying 42,000 litre smuggled HSD worth Rs 4.2 million.
Three persons identified as Aftab, son of Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Amin, son of Arbab Khan and Shah Hussain, son of Hassan Khan, were also arrested and cases were registered against them, a statement said on Sunday.
Moreover, 41 other non-duty paid/ smuggled items including vehicles valued at Rs.3.5 million were also seized during the checking.
