Five killed, one hurt separately in City

KARACHI - At least five people were killed and one sustained bullet wounds in different incidents here in the metropolis on Friday. According to details, the butchered body of a young man was found from a flat located at the forth floor of a residential apartment in 'B Area Korangi in the remit of the Korangi Industrial Area Police. The Police officials said they found the body after the locals informed them about the foul stink at a flat. Following the information, the police reached the spot and discovered the body. The police shifted the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy where he was identified as Kaleemullah, 25, son Mohammad Yousuf, a resident of the same area from where his body found. According to Sub Inspector (SI) Salahuddin who investigated the case quoting the victims family said that the deceased ran an internet caf_ in the area and had gone missing a day before his death. Furthermore, the police was unable to ascertain the motive behind the killing of the youth but suspected that personal enmity could be behind the incident. No case was registered till filing of the report. Similarly, another slaughtered body of a young man was found from the premises of a local Imambargah in Raheem Shah Colony, Orangi Town in the limits of Mominabad Police. A 22-year-old youth, identified as Hamid Hussain, the son of Abid Hussain, a resident of the same area and frequently used to sleep at the said Imambargah from where his body was found. The Police officials said that the incident occurred in the wee hours of Friday and it believed that some unidentified persons slaughtered him with knife. The Police officials said the incident might have occurred due to personal enmity. The victim hailed from Gilgit and was a labour by profession. However, his body was shifted to Abbassi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities. No FIR was registered till filing of the story as the family of the victim was busy in burial rituals. In the third incident of suicide, a housemaid of the Sukkur Regional Police Officer (RPO) shot himself to death at Bath Island, Clifton in the jurisdiction of Boat Basin Police. The Police said that a young man identified as Zohaib Ali, 25, son of Banday Ali, who hailed from Shikarpur, interior Sindh was the servant of RPO Sukkur Ramzan Channa and committed suicide in bungalow No 14 at bath Island, adding that the motive behind the incident was yet to be ascertained. The deceased used to work as cook in the bungalow and committed suicide through security guards riffle. The body was shifted JPMC for legal formalities and later handed over to his family. Meanwhile, an alleged bandit was killed and another arrested by Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) after a shootout here on Friday. According to Rangers officials, the shootout took place in Baldia Town No 8 in the Saeedabad Police precincts when two alleged robbers after robbing the citizen were trying to flee from the scene. The culprits opened fire at them when they were intercepted which was retaliated by the rangers personnel deputed there. The exchange of fire continued for some time as a result of which one suspected dacoit who was later identified as Waqas alias Langra killed while his accomplice namely Nisar alias Nisari sustained bullet wounds. However, the officials claimed to have recovered two TT pistols from their possession and that they were wanted to the police in several cases.
