KARACHI - Six persons including a woman were killed in separate incidents here on Thursday.
A man killed a woman over a petty dispute in Gulberg area.
Police said the gunman identified as Sajid shot Tahira, wife of Sadiq, and escaped. Police said there was a family dispute over the refusal of wedding proposal between the victim woman and Sajid. Police registered a case and handed the body over to the family after autopsy.
Separately, a man was killed in mysterious circumstances in Sharafi Goth police precincts. Police said unknown assailants barged into his home and hammered Faqir Shah to death. The assailants managed to flee. Police registered a case and initiated the probe.
In the jurisdictions of Sohrab Goth police station, gunmen shot dead Noor-e-Islam, 19, and fled. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to hospital. The victim hailed from Waziristan and was the resident of Khyarabad Goth. The body was handed over to the family.
A man was shot dead in Pakistan Bazaar police precincts. Police said Sabir Hussain, 50, resident of Orangi Town, was standing outside his home when gunmen riding a motorbike shot him dead and escaped. Police said the incident occurred when the victim offered resistance during the robbery bid. The body was handed over to the family after autopsy.
Another man was shot dead in Korangi police precincts. Police said gunmen targeted Mushtaq Saleem, 50, and managed to escape near Sector 2, Korangi. The victim was rushed to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. Police have yet to ascertain the motive behind the murder. On the other side, Memon Goth police found a shot dead body from the bushes. It shifted the body to morgue after autopsy for identification.
