‘Youm-e-Hussain’ slams Israeli war crimes

KARACHI – Speakers at Youm-e-Hussain programme at Karachi University have condemned war crimes of Israel against the helpless Palestinians in Gaza. They said that this was the time for Muslims to be united against the world’s evil forces. “The tragedy of Karbala and the message of Karbala continues even today despite hundreds of years have passed. The unparalleled tragedy (Karbala) revealed and polished many human attributes which otherwise would have remained obscure from the human eye. Today our society is dealing with so many challenges, including religious extremism, while these challenges have been handled if we follow the path of Karbal, introduced by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) for the humanity.”  They were speaking at programme of “Yom-e-Hussain” organized by the office of the Students’ Advisory Karachi University in collaboration with the Imamia Students Organisation.At this event, special security measures were taken by Security Advisor, Dr Khalid Iraqi, ISO scouts. Sabeel-e-Imam Hussain were also setup on the occasion. Maulana Ameen Shaheedi appreciated the efforts by students and administration for organizing the event, and said that the sacred objective of Imam Hussain (A.S.) at Karbala was to save the religion of his grandfather, Muhammad (PBUH) and the dignity of humanity.He said, “Once again evil forces like Yazid have emerged in the world, and trying to hit innocent people of the world, while brutality of Israel against the Palestinians is also connected with this. In Pakistan, extremism is being promoted following the agenda of the US. Killing of innocent citizens is part of this agenda.”       Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Abuzar Wajdi paid tribute to the martyrs of Karbala and said that the mankind will remember them forever and keep commemorating their martyrdom till the doomsday.Maulana Ahmed Iqbal said that Karbala is the only way for righteous people to fight against the ills. He said that social prosperity can be achieved if we start following the way of the Imam.Meanwhile, Karachi University has extended the last date of submission of the thesis of LLM Final annual examination. Now the candidates could submit their thesis up to November 30 with a late fee of Rs1000.
