‘Parliamentarians are of low caliber’

KARACHI - A ceremony, to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of Shaheed Hakim Muhammed Said was held at Bait al-Hikmah Auditorium, Madinat al-Hikmah.The event comprised speeches, report on service to humanity, tableau and dua-e-Said.Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest, senator Abdul Haseeb Khan said that Quaid-i-Azam wanted to see Pakistan a strong and stable country and Shaheed Hakim Muhammed Said did right job in right direction to support this cause by working on education and health because a healthy and educated nation could make its country strong and invincible.Hakim Said followed ordain of the Almighty and did a lot of philanthropic work and dedicated every moment of his life to the service of the people and new generation in particular. He is hopeful that the new generation would take the country out of the prevailing circumstances, he said. “The people sitting in parliament were of low caliber and statesmanship and would not be able to deliver good to the nation.”Sadia Rashid, President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan while addressing the function said that after the rights of the Almighty then came the rights of His creature, including all living souls and the greatness of a human being was bound to the services he/she rendered to the humanity. The whole world gave respect to all those, irrespective of their caste, race and creed, who worked for the betterment and welfare of humanity, she added.She said that Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said always emphasised on service to the humanity in his sayings.An introduction of “Young Roots Social Society”, formed by the students of Hamdard College of Science and Commerce, for the help of poor students of other schools and a report on its performance was submitted by its office bearers on the occasion.Child speakers Angabin Mushtaque, Ubaidur Rehman, Mohammed Ghufran, Umema Shahid, Nashrah Ahmed, Maryam Akbar and Alina Begg also spoke.Besides, teachers and students in a large number attended the functionMeanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Steel, General (r) Muhammad Javed said, “The martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) is the brightest symbol of truth and justice in human history which will continue to inspire the world till eternity.”The secret of our success lies in following the path laid out for us by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Hussain (RA). The CEO made these observations during his presidential address to the annual Hussain (RA) Day Function organized at the MTC Auditorium by the Management of Pakistan Steel and the CBA. “We will have to adapt in our practical life the lessons we learn of sacrifice and steadfastness in combating the forces of evil. Today nobody takes the name of Yazeed, but the Almighty himself has made Imam Hussain’s (RA) name immortal for all times.”The CEO stated the basic aim of this gathering is to be ready for making every kind of sacrifice for the cause of Islam keeping in view  the example set by the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions Sectarian differences must be overcome and a spirit of brotherhood inculcated.Pakistan Steel is a national organization in which persons of different religions, sects, beliefs, speaking diverse languages work together and they all respect each other and maintain affection, tolerance and harmony among themselves. Shamshad Quraishi, Chairman Pakistan Steel Peoples Workers Union (CBA) also present at the occasion while some of the country’s distinguished Ulema, Allama Shehanshah Husain Naqvi, Allama Razi Haider Naqvi and Maulana Farman Ali Irfani also addressed the gathering.
