PPP consulting opposition parties over presidential candidate: Fahim

President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) Makhdoom Amin Fahim on Monday said that they have started consultation with opposition parties to nominate a joint candidate for the presidential slot.
Talking to a Private TV channel, Amin Fahim hoped that opposition parties would support the PPP’s nominated candidate.
He said that schedule for presidential election has already been announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and it cannot be changed now.
Amin Fahim said the PPP will review its strategy for the presidential poll in the opposition chamber.
On the other hand, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Sartaj Aziz, Mumtaz Bhutto and Ghaus Ali Shah were among those considered by the PML-N leadership but no decision was made about the final nominee.
