KARACHI – Four people including an MQM worker were gunned down in separate acts of violence in different parts of the metropolis, here on Sunday. According to the detail, a worker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was gunned down in an act of target killing in New Karachi within the limits of Bilal Colony police station. The deceased was identified as Fahim Imran, 22, son of Mohammad Aslam. He was shot thrice and had been died at the spot. His body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. Police officials said that the deceased was the former worker of the Jamaat-e-Islami and recently joined MQM. They said that he was also the member of the committee member of the Masjid-e-Talha in New Karachi and the incident took place when he was standing at the gate of the Masjid.Separately, a student of the religious seminary was gunned down in Block-4 within the limits of Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station. According to initial reports, the deceased was identified as Kamaluddin. He was shot dead near his Madressa Ahsan ul Uloom in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. He was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Police officials said that the motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained. Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat spokesman Taj Hanfi condemned the incident and said that deceased was the party’s supporter. In another incident, a 26-year-old Noorul Haq, was shot dead near al-Asif Square within the limits of Sohrab Goth police station. Police officials said that deceased hailed from Waziristan, adding that he was standing near to his home in Sohrab Goth when unidentified culprits shot and killed him over personal enmity.Meanwhile, Police have found the body of the carpenter from Bagh-e-Korangi graveyard in Awami Colony police remits. Victim was identified as Amir Khan, 23, son of Abdul Rasheed, a resident of Landhi area. Police officials said that deceased had no affiliation with any party while he was shot once in his head, adding that the motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained. His body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for autopsy and later handed over to his family.
