KARACHI - City Nazim Mustafa Kamal on Monday said that a massive development work was carried out in the metropolis during his four-year tenure that took the city to the line of the developed cities in the world. He was addressing a MQM gathering outside the MQM headquarters Nine-Zero. The gathering was arranged at the party headquarter to welcome the City Nazim Mustafa Kamal and other MQM representatives of the CDGK. When the City Nazim along with other elected representatives reached Nine-Zero, they were warmly received by MQM Rabita Committee members along with thousands of MQM workers and office-bearers. Mustafa Kamal said that he along with his team served the city, following the vision and philosophy of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain. In the 62 years history of the country, no political party did such marvellous job. He further said that the MQM workers have done massive development work during their four years period, which had not done by the formers during the 63 years of the country. 'We have started our assignment work from this place, and now we are here again to conclude our splendid tenure, he added. He termed the current development work in the city the very first drop of rain which could not be stopped. He said that their success has been the resultant product of the sacrifices done by Altaf Hussain, and MQM is alive due to the sacrifices of MQM martyrs and Altaf Hussain. He thanked the MQM Chief Altaf Hussain on his guidance throughout his tenure, which has compelled him not to involve in any kind of corruption. On the occasion, MQM Rabita Committee Deputy Convenor Anees Ahmed Kaimkhani said that the MQM workers have done great job in the urban areas of Sindh, displaying their capability to do valuable changes all over the country. He invited the people of the country to visit urban centres of Sindh and see the massive development work done by the MQM elected representatives. Kamal, nazims visit 'Shuhada Qabristan' City Nazim Mustafa Kamal has said that the workers of Altaf Hussain have successfully fulfilled their responsibilities in local government. All credit for this achievement goes to the guidance of Altaf Hussain and the blood of martyrs who gave their lives for the movement of Haq Parasti. He was talking to mediamen after offering fateha at the graves of Quaid-e-Tehreeks brother Nasir Hussain and nephew Arif Hussain and the workers of MQM at Shuhada Qabristan inYasinabad on Monday. All Town Nazims, Naib Nazims, Union Council Nazims and Naib UC Nazims accompanied him on this occasion. Kamal said that four years back they had started this journey of Haq Parasti in local government by offering fateha at the graves of our martyrs and now concluding our journey by coming back at the same place after successfully fulfilling our responsibilities in local bodies. This place belongs to our martyrs. The movement is alive only because of their blood and it is only due to their blood and sacrifices that the people were electing us by giving their vote, he added.
