KARACHI – Bandits robbed Rs2.5 million from a private bank branch situated in Defence locality within the jurisdiction of Darakshan police station on Friday.
According to details, at least four armed men barged into the bank and held hostage the staffers and guards of the bank.
They managed to rob Rs2.5 million. Police took the newly deployed security guard of the private security company into custody for interrogation. The bank is situated at Phase-VI, Defence in Khayaban-e-Ittehad.   A police constable, Javed, and two private security guards, Shah Khan and Sarfaraz were also posted to the bank. Constable Javed suspected that private guard Sarfaraz was involved in the robbery while police took them into custody and registered a case against unknown bandits.
